A woman from a tribal family of Kotha resident of Sidhi district headquarters had been suffering from the disease for a long time. He died suddenly on Sunday morning. The woman’s family is so poor that she did not have cremation money. He sought help from the municipality but received no help.
In compulsion, the family loaded the dead body in the cart and walked away from the district headquarters towards the Son River. With no funeral money, the relatives instead of burning the dead body of the woman flowed into the Son River. Former Chief Minister Kamal Nath has attacked the state government over the matter.
In a tweet on Tuesday, the former CM questioned Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan about what happened to the government schemes that helped in the funeral of the poor. Kamal Nath said that “Shivraj ji, when you were in opposition, used to make a lot of claims about the last rites of the poor and cursed the Congress a lot. You are in power today. Know the truth of your government.
He said, “On the death of a young woman of a tribal family in Sidhi district, the family did not get any vehicle on demand and no financial help for the last rites. In the absence of money, the family forced the body to be carried on hand in the river. Shed. Where did your funeral plan go “?
Kamal Nath further said that “this heartbreaking incident which embarrasses humanity, immediately take strict action against the culprits, all possible help to the family”.
