The Center retaliated at the TMC, fueled by the IMCT visit, said the state government is not cooperating

आईएमसीटी के दौरे को लेकर केंद्र और ममता सरकार आमने-सामने आ गए हैं

The Center and the Mamata government have come face to face with the Inter Ministerial Central Parties (IMCT) visiting Corona virus affected districts in West Bengal. Union Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla has written a letter to West Bengal Chief Secretary Rajiv Sinha regarding the IMCT visit in Bengal. In this letter, he said, “It has been brought to the notice of the Ministry that the IMCT teams in Kolkata and Jalpaiguri have not been given the requisite cooperation from the state and local authorities”.

On this matter, it has been said on behalf of the Ministry of Home Affairs that the IMCT team visiting Kolkata and Jalpaiguri in West Bengal was not getting support from the state government and local administration. He was barred from visiting the areas. Also the team was not being allowed to assess the situation. It was also said by the ministry that the team is being prevented from meeting health workers in the state.

TMC had told about the tourism tour of IMCT

The visit of the Inter-Ministerial Central Parties (IMCT) to the Corona virus affected districts in West Bengal has been described by the Trinamool Congress as adventure tourism. During this period, the party has asked why these parties did not go for assessment in states where corona virus cases and affected areas are more.

Trinamool Congress MPs Derek O’Brien and Sudeep Bandopadhyay told a press conference that the information was conveyed to Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee about three hours after the IMCT party arrived, which is not acceptable.

On this matter, Derek O’Brien said, “The IMCT team is on adventure tourism. CM Mamata Banerjee was informed about three hours after the party arrived. “During this time, Derek also questioned the central parties not going to Gujarat, Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh, where the most cases of corona virus and affected areas are there.

Please tell that Derek O’Brien is a Rajya Sabha MP from Trinamool Congress. Derek asked why the central parties were sent to West Bengal whereas, he is not even in the top-10 in the list of infected states.

Questioning the central government, he said, “The Center has to make it clear why the chief minister was informed about his arrival only after the party arrived?” Whereas, under the federal structure, you have to first tell the state government. The goal behind sending these parties is not clear. In this case, it needs to be clarified first. “

IMCT is designed to assess the condition of corona virus

For information here, let me tell you that on Monday, six IMCTs were constituted by the Center to assess the condition of corona virus in Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan and West Bengal.

During this time, it was said on behalf of the Ministry that the six inter-ministerships were issued by the Central Government to assess the situation related to Corona virus in these places and to issue necessary instructions for the four states – Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan and West Bengal. Central Parties (IMCT) have been formed.

In such a situation, a central party reached Kolkata and another Jalpaiguri on Monday.

Trinamool Congress Lok Sabha MP Bandopadhyay said that the Center should talk to the concerned state before taking any such decision in future. “We have left politics behind and want to combat the global epidemic together,” he said. Don’t take advantage of our generosity, we can also speak in political language. In such a situation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah should also leave politics behind. ”
