PV Sindhu wins historic gold
Finally, PV Sindhu has won the gold medal and made India feel proud of her. She has won this medal after the two-time lost in the final.
In the interview after the match, she said that it’s proud to be an Indian. I lost in the last two finals in a series finally I won, she said.
By the expression of her, it seems like this match was very important for her so that she played only for the win.
During the interview, she also said like, I want to thank each people who cheer for me during the match and supported me to play well. I won for my country and I am very proud to be an Indian.
According to Sindhu, the win credit goes to her coach Miss Kim and Gopi sir and the entire support staff as well as to the parents and especially to mom, because it’s her birthday today.
She also said that I have no words to express my feeling waited for so long.
PV Sindhu became the first Indian who has won the BWF World Championships after the crushing Nozomi Okuhara (Japan’s player) by 21-7 and 21-7 points in just 38 minutes in a one-sided final on Sunday.
After the won, Now PV Sindhu has a complete collection of medals in World Championships. In the collection, she has one gold medal, two bronze medals, and two silver medals.
This gold medal was Sindhu’s fifth medal in the World Championships, which is the joint highest in women’s singles in the history of the tournament along with Xhang Ning of China, a two-time Olympic gold medallist. Apart from the two silvers, in 2013 and 2014 she had also won the bronze medals.
