Major General Nigar Johar is the first woman to reach the rank of Lieutenant General in the Pakistani Army. She is the first Pakistani female officer to get three star rank after promotion. Nigar Johar has been appointed as the first female Surgeon General of the Pak Army. Lieutenant General Nigar Johar Panjpeer, District Swabi is from KPK.

Nigar Johar is a doctor as well as an expert shooter. Lieutenant General Johar is currently posted in the Medical Corps of the Pakistan Army. She is heading the Army Hospital at Rawalpindi, South Asia’s largest.

She became the third woman officer in the history of Pakistan to reach the rank of Major General in 2017. Lieutenant General Johar belongs to the Army Medical Corps and is the niece of Major (R) Mohammad Aamir, a former Pakistan Army officer who served in the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI). Her father, Colonel Qadir, also served in the ISI.
