Locusts have raided several states in India. On Tuesday, locusts arrived in Nagaur district of Rajasthan. People played pots to keep them away from the fields. The ADM reported that this is the time for locust breeding, so the problem is about to increase. The local administration is campaigning to control them.

At the same time, a locust team has reached Jaisalmer district. Chemical is being sprayed through drones to control locusts here.

Locusts are the world’s most dangerous insect
Let us tell that, more than 10,000 species of locusts are found worldwide, but only four species are found in India. These include desert locust, migratory locust, Bombay locust, and tree locust. Among them, desert locusts are considered the most dangerous. These take dangerous forms when they come in lush green grasslands. According to agricultural authorities, desert locusts have affected the lives of ten percent of the world’s population.

Locusts grow like this
The main reason for locusts to grow in large numbers is the change in weather due to global warming. Experts say that a female locust can lay up to three eggs and up to 95-158 eggs at a time. A square meter of locust can contain up to a thousand eggs. Their lifespan is three to five months. The male grasshopper can be 60–75 mm in size and the female 70–90 mm.
