Price was increased in July
In July, the country’s oil marketing companies increased the prices of 19 kg and 14.2 kg non-subsidized LPG cylinders. According to information received from the IOCL website, a 14.2 kg non-subsidized LPG cylinder in Delhi had become expensive by Re 1. It was costlier by four rupees in Kolkata, 3.50 rupees in Mumbai and four rupees in Chennai. After this it was priced at Rs 594 in Delhi, Rs 620.50 in Kolkata, Rs 594 in Mumbai and Rs 610.50 in Chennai.

Minor change in price of 19 kg cylinder
Companies have made slight changes in the price of 19 kg cylinders. In Delhi it has gone up to Rs 1135.50, Kolkata to Rs 1198.50, Mumbai to Rs 1091 and Chennai to Rs 1253. It has changed slightly compared to July. In July, the price of 19 kg gas cylinder was Rs 1135.50 in Delhi, Rs 1197.50 in Kolkata, Rs 1090.50 in Mumbai and Rs 1255 in Chennai.
Government gives subsidy on gas cylinders
At present, the government provides subsidy on 12 cylinders of 14.2 kg for each household in a year. If customers want to take more cylinders than this, then they buy them at market price. The price of a gas cylinder changes every month. Its prices determine factors such as the average international benchmark and changes in foreign exchange rates.
