Football’s global governing body FIFA on Tuesday banned former former finance director Marcus Katner for 10 years to help pay former president Sepp Blatter and other top managers millions of dollars in increased salaries and bonuses.

FIFA said the judge of its ethical unit found Catner guilty of allegations of conflict of interest and misuse of office. Catner is also accused of obtaining FIFA Council recordings in which he has been convicted.

Catner has also been fined one million Swiss francs (10 lakh 50 thousand dollars) and asked to pay within 30 days. The judge of FIFA’s Ethical Committee said in its order that its conduct significantly hurt FIFA’s integrity and objectives.
