Non-subsidized cylinders become so expensive
According to information received from the IOCL website, a 14.2 kg non-subsidized LPG cylinder in Delhi has become costlier by Re 1. Kolkata has become costlier by four rupees, Mumbai by Rs 3.50 and Chennai by four rupees. After this it has been priced at Rs 594 in Delhi, which was earlier Rs 593. In Kolkata, its price has increased from Rs 616 to Rs 620.50, in Mumbai it has increased from Rs 590.50 to Rs 594. Whereas in Chennai it was earlier Rs 606.50, which has become Rs 610.50 from today.
19 kg cylinder price cut
However, a relief is that the price of 19 kg cylinder has been cut.
The 19 kg cylinder has become cheaper by Rs 4 in Delhi. After this, its price was reduced from Rs 1139.50 to Rs 1135.50. It has been priced at Rs 1197.50 in Kolkata, Rs 1090.50 in Mumbai and Rs 1255 in Chennai.
Government gives subsidy on gas cylinders
At present, the government provides subsidy on 12 cylinders of 14.2 kg for each household in a year. If customers want to take more cylinders than this, then they buy them at market price. The price of a gas cylinder changes every month. Its prices determine factors such as average international benchmarks and changes in foreign exchange rates.
